Just chuggin' along into Year 2, toot toot! I hope you had a good Mardi Gras, even if you weren't aware that was even going on. Don't worry if you weren't, I probably had a good enough of a time for the two of us.

The first anniversary page is still accessible on the site, but the link is... a little hidden.

Let's see if you can find it :)

Fun Author Fact: the only time I ever went to detention was once when I was 11, for repeatedly eating Skittles in class after being told not to. I was PRETTY HARDCORE.

Don't forget to send me your suggestions for what kind of Patreon rewards sound cool to you, or just say what you'd like to see more of here! Or just say hi, that works too. I'm easy.

So, the end of the "Interlude Iro" section is rapidly approaching, but before Chapter 2 starts I'd like to do a bonus "Ask The Characters" segment where all the characters answer questions about their lives, interests, thoughts, opinions, whatever. Think along the lines of this. So, send me an email at truecolors.comic@gmail.com or an ask on Tumblr asking a question of the character of your choice, then I'll draw them answering whatever you ask! Within reason, anyway. Hope to hear from you soon! :D

It's been about a year since I got the first True Colors pages up and running, which seriously blows my mind. Making a "real" webcomic has been a dream of mine for around a decade now, and now it's actually happening... but I never would have gotten 45 (!!!) pages into this story without an audience to share my adorkable brain children with. To everyone who's commented, messaged me, drawn fanart, offered advice, given me critique, encouraged me, or simply kept reading silently... thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting and enjoying this endeavor. You keep me going.

Regular updates will resume next week, but I wanted to do something a little different, so I entertained myself by making these little pixelly guys. I used to make a ton of bad sprite comics when I was 11, so I know my way around a pixel or two.

Hey, here's a fun thing! True Colors has its FIRST EVER FANART courtesy of Amanda Webb from Legends of Aukera! AHHHH! I'm super excited on a personal level and will be framing this historic document. If people make more fan works I might make a gallery or something on the site, so get arting!

Probably no update next week (12/25) due to too many holiday things going on. Sorry.
But! You've still got a week to request a True Colors holiday e-card! All you have to do is email truecolors.comic@gmail.com and let me know you want a card, and I'll send it... probably on Christmas Day. No funny business with your email address, I just wanna send you a picture of some dorks being merry.

Happy New Year! Sorry about the unexpected extended holiday break... you know how holidays are. We should be back on schedule now though, and I am pretty excited about this year! For one thing, I've almost been at this whole comic thing for 365 days (!!!) but I'm also going to be ramping up things here at True Colors over the next few months! A kind of "Year 2, Phase 2" thing. Keep an eye out for things like prints, a Patreon, ads, site updates, and more! Oh, and also some more comic pages. If you're into that kind of thing.

KAPOW! And then Iro and Kit lived happily ever after.

Okay, maybe there's a BIT more to go before that point, but still.

December 11, 2014

So here's something cool... remember when I didn't update on Thanksgiving because I needed to work on "other things"? Well, one of those things was a guest comic for The Demon Archives, which is up today! Go check it out! :) It should make sense even if you have no idea what the story is about... but really, you should definitely go read The Demon Archives anyway, especially if you like post-apocalyptic stuff, sassy AIs, and robot suits. Plus it's just a well-made comic.

Also! If you would like a break from depressing child bullying, I will be sending out some drawn digital holiday cards from True Colors to you personally! All you have to do is email truecolors.comic@gmail.com and say something like "I want a card!" or "GIMME THAT CARD" or whatever, and I'll email it to you in a couple of weeks!

December 4, 2014

Thank you for your patience last week! We should be back on schedule now, and I'm HOPING the encroaching holiday season is going to mean more time to work on TC as opposed to me being busier. I actually got a lot of comicking done on my Thanksgiving days off (just not True Colors specifically), and I'm starting to WANT to do nothing but work on TC on my days off from work (instead of lame loser stuff like "relaxing") so we'll see.

There are a few changes coming to the site soon, such as a donation button and a characters page... just gotta find time to work on them. With today's update I took off the sun thing at the top and I added another easter egg thing.
(Fun TC fact: that doesn't mean it is literally an egg! The more you know!)

November 13, 2014

Hi my buddies! There's not really anything new to report, I just wanted to say hi. How's your year going? Mine is pretty swell, and also it looks like the holidays are fast approaching! If you're stumped on what to get your loved ones, I'm totally available for commissions if you want to shoot me an email. Just sayin'.

The Itsy Bitsy Gorgon Gals were pretty obviously inspired by My Little Pony, and Sporty Squirts is inspired by a myriad of awful mass-produced kids series I encountered while working at a book store. Sporty Squirts would be terribly written if it were real, but I honestly had way too much fun making up the Itsy Bitsy Gorgon Gals, so if I were ever to write a sardonic kids series about the magic of friendship, that would probably be it.

Just so you know, there will NOT be an update next week (Nov 27) due to it being Gratitude's Eve in the states, as well as me needing time to work on a couple of extra things. Sorry guys! Now that I think about it, I guess this is kind of a dark note to leave you guys on, buuut hopefully Kit's poofy pigtails will see you through these dark times? At least Iro's got a certain amount of plot armor, in case you were worried that a 9-year-old boy punched him to death. OR DID HE? I can't promise future-Iro isn't a cyborg or something.

Okay now I'm just rambling, so this news post is OVER. Tripp out.

October 23, 2014

Thanks for your patience, guys! We should be back on track now, so stay tuned for more Adventures of an Adorable Wimp. There's not really much news to report, but as always, if you're liking the story so far I would LOVE to hear from you! Feel free to comment on any pages or message me at truecolors.comic@gmail.com, or check out the Facebook and Tumblr pages. That would be pretty awesome of you. Then again, you're awesome simply by virtue of being around to read this. *high fives you through screen for awesomeness*

I'm thinking of putting together some prints or bookmarks or something to sell or give away, but I'm not sure how much demand there is for that? So if there's any kind of physical True Colors swag you'd like to exist, let me know! I'm open for any ideas. Thanks!
